OVER 30 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION
St. Laurence Catholic School (SLCS) was founded as a parish school in 1992 and has since grown to become one of the largest PreK-8th grade schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Our educational philosophy integrates religion throughout the curriculum, emphasizing the fundamental principles of the Catholic faith. Our primary aim is to nurture students into moral Christians who actively serve others, focusing on the development of strong character and spiritual growth.
At SLCS, we foster a culture of lifelong learning within a challenging academic environment that places a premium on problem-solving and analytical skills—essential qualities for forming future leaders.
Our school offers a comprehensive Catholic education rooted in robust academics, the cultivation of social skills, and a strong commitment to community service. Our top priority is the whole development of each child, encompassing body, mind, and spirit, within our supportive community.
At SLCS, students have abundant opportunities to excel in the fine arts, sports, Spanish language proficiency, and STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Arts, and Math) education. We provide enrichment resources to meet the diverse learning needs of every student.
We take pride in our achievements, having been honored as a National Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education three times. Additionally, we are recognized as a S.T.R.E.A.M. Synergy School by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
