Welcome to the St. Laurence Catholic School Library.
 

The mission of the St. Laurence Catholic School Library is to foster an active learning environment and promote Catholic values through access and information literacy instruction in both print and non-print formats, for all learners in the school community. 

We strive to provide a quality and up-to-date library collection that aligns with our curriculum and accommodates a wide variety of learning styles, developmental levels, physical and intellectual abilities, personal interests, and cultural backgrounds.

• The library is open daily from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.  Students are encouraged and allowed to use the library at any time during the day with permission from teachers.
• Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 5th grade classes are scheduled for weekly visits. Grades 1-4 classes are scheduled to visit the library on a rotation with Guidance and STREAM.  Class visits include information literacy instruction and book check-out.  
• Students, grades 6-8,  have access to the library for scheduled projects and during the day with teacher permission.
• Library Policies include:  
  • Maximum 2 book check-out for a 2 week period and a one-time renewal.  Books must be returned in order to refresh.
  • Lost or damaged books incur a $20 replacement fee charged to the family FACTS account.
• Book Fairs are held in our Library in the fall and spring.
• Parents are welcome to check out books from our "parent library" at any time.
