National Spanish Honor Society

     Sociedad de Honor San Lorenzo

The Spanish Honor Society is for middle school students taking Spanish as an elective.  The purpose of this group is to motivate students to learn Spanish through cultural activities. The mission is to create awareness of all cultures and promote friendship. Students participate in service projects, cultural activities, and meetings.

Some activities our group has participated in are: 

• Serve on the confetti boot during our church’s bazaar
• Serve as leaders for Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass
• Write Christmas cards for prisoners
• Help teachers at our school
• Participate at the water booth at Steps for Students Run
• Food drives
• Used Shoe Drive
• Decorate bags for Lunches of Love 
• Most of the members of our Honor Society (7th and 8th grade) take the National Spanish Exam as ambassadors for our school in this national competition. 
• Cultural activities such as cooking events or making crafts
