STEPS FOR STUDENTS

February 8, 2025 – 8:30-10:00 amSteps for Students at the Co-Cathedral (1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, TX)Steps for Students is an annual event benefiting the 55 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Over the last 18 years, this exciting day of family fun has brought together our Catholic community for a sunrise Mass, 5K race, and post-race party in the Catholic School Village. Every year, over 5,000 participants race and over $900,000 is raised to fund the unique needs of each of our Catholic schools.For the past 19 years, St. Laurence Catholic School has proudly participated in the annual Steps for Students 5K. Let’s work together to make the 20th year the best ever!DID YOU KNOW?- When you and your family register for the Steps for Students race, $1 goes to the Archdiocese to cover administrative costs, but the rest of the fee goes straight back to St. Laurence Catholic School!
- On top of registration fees, you can support SLCS through peer-to-peer fundraising! Ask your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to support your student and help them win awesome prizes!
- Our goal of $35,000 will directly benefit the SLCS PTO and important projects at the school.
Here are some ways the Steps for Students funds have made a difference at SLCS:
2022 – Purchase of a curtain for the SLCS stage, allowing us to further fine arts enrichment throughout the curriculum.
2023 – Replacement of playground parts with newer, safer equipment that will be enjoyed for years to come! -
